GUESTS, CORPORATE CLIENTS, DIPLOMATIC CORPS, GOVERNMENT AND THE TRAVEL TRADE TURN UP AT THE SHERATON TO CELEBRATE AN EARLY CHRISTMAS
The Holiday season is already in full gear, but one of the biggest debates is when should we really get into the Christmas mood? Do we start singing Christmas carols in November… Or is that too early? Given that Christmas decorations are already up in Europe – seen first hand – and that the big Christmas tree in New York is about to be lit on Thanksgiving, perhaps November is after all the right time to begin humming Christmas carols.
At the Sheraton Kampala therefore it’s already time to start celebrating the Festive Season. Sure, the calendar stills read November but there are so many pleasant things about the festive season so why wait for December and this is exactly what Sheraton Kampala celebrate Christmas … in November.
Many of Kampala’s business elite turned up at Sheraton Kampala Hotel’s Rwenzori Ballroom to discover the theme of the night ‘Christmas in November‘.
This early Christmas themed event has been a tradition for the Sheraton Kampala Hotel for over a decade now, with a variety of decadent meals and drinks served to the invited guests who are mainly clients drawn from the different sectors of the economy. The guests are given a real seasonal treat that prepares them for what to expect in festive season and what the chefs at the Sheraton actually then put on the menus.
This year Christmas at Sheraton Kampala Hotel started on 17th November with the Hotel throwing a dinner for its clients and partners. The event was hosted by Kampala’s leading Comedian Salvador Idringi and entertainment by the Kangie Band and this year’s edition featured a special mixology bar courtesy of Uganda Breweries. Great Lakes Coffee was on present at the event showcasing some of Uganda’s finest coffee blends
‘We are very grateful to all the support we have received from our customers, partners and well-wishers this year. At Sheraton we don’t take this for granted and we are want thank all our friends and partners from all sectors on this. Christmas is a tradition at Sheraton Hotel and we use this to appreciate and also connect with everyone who we have worked with for the year. It’s a light evening of eating, drinking and mingling with other business minded people‘ told Mr Jean Philippe Bittencourt the Sheraton GM the invited guests.
The Sheraton Christmas in November cocktail is one way for Sheraton Kampala Hotel to say thank you to its clients for the support through the entire year. It’s an evening for guests to wine, dine and net-work as they get into the Christmas spirit. After this themed cocktail the guests will always continue singing Christmas songs, regardless of the fact that the radios stations are yet to start playing the Christmas music.
And early is what early does … I wish all my readers a very happy and peaceful festive season, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Too early, well you’ll hear more of that in coming weeks …
